This year, we had the honor of celebrating a major milestone with BNI Miami Lakes as they marked their 10th anniversary an event recognizing leadership, collaboration, and service within our city. Miami Lakes recently celebrated a significant milestone with the BNI Miami Lakes chapter’s 10th Anniversary, held at the iconic Miami Lakes Hotel on Main Street. This prestigious event attracted esteemed local business owners, community leaders, and influential professionals from across Miami Lakes, showcasing the strong spirit of collaboration that defines our community.

Community Recognition for DRIP Health & MedSpa in Miami Lakes

Highlighting the evening was Drip Health & Medspa’s very own Jessica Zaldivar, celebrated as a contender for Rookie of the Year. Jessica, with over 20 years of nursing experience, is an accomplished Nurse Practitioner and master injector. She co-owns Drip Health & MedSpa alongside her husband Damien Zaldivar. Together, they’ve established Drip Health & MedSpa in Miami Lakes as the premier destination for health and wellness services, highly regarded among the community and fellow professionals.

Strong Community Partnerships in Miami Lakes

Drip Health & Medspa are proud members of the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce and actively participate in the Young Professionals Committee, initiated by Chamber President Fred Senra. Senra, a longstanding civic leader, serves not only as President of the Chamber but also as Vice Commander of American Legion Post 144. He has dedicated over a decade of service to the Miami Lakes Planning & Zoning Board, and supports local charity events, including the Miami Lakes Veterans Day Parade, B Fore Pink Golf Tournament, William “B” Graham Memorial Golf Tournament, and events hosted by Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.

Honoring Key Award Winners

The evening recognized several exceptional members of our Miami Lakes community:

• Tico Casamayor, affectionately dubbed “Mr. Miami Lakes,” was honored for his longstanding dedication.
• Brent Locke received the award for Most Dedicated Member, reflecting his unwavering commitment to our community.
• Roxana Miranda of Vellu Laser and Alejandro Miranda, another Rookie of the Year contender, were both recognized for their outstanding contributions.

BNI Miami Lakes Leadership and Community Impact

The anniversary event, expertly organized by Roxana Miranda (Vellu Laser) and Ray Trujillo (South Florida Building Inspections), was superbly hosted by BNI Miami Lakes President Romy Pego Remior (BBW Consulting). The celebration highlighted past and present leadership, including Staci Merchant (Merchant Insurance Solutions), Treasurer Manny “Super Manny” Perez (First Origin Mortgage Lenders), and esteemed Visitor Hosts AJ Garcia (Ireland Pay), Pamela Carrera (JP Realty), Herby Galicia (FIT Therapy), Mike Quesada (First Citizens), and Ray Trujillo.

Membership Committee members—Marriage and Family Therapist Janel Daniel, Lexi Vazquez-Maxwell (TMT), Lorenzo Cobiella (Gastesi, Lopez, Mestre & Cobiella), and Norma Lorenzo (Hermanni Law Group)—along with Education Chair Alex Miranda (Virtrify), Events Co-Chairs Roxana Miranda and Ray Trujillo, Mentor Coordinator Guillermo Torres (The Sena Group), Chapter Director Consultant Jose Llano (First Citizens), and Social Media Chair Susy Pacheco (Bullet Construction) were also acknowledged for their valuable contributions.

Adding prestige to the event, Miami Lakes Mayor Josh Dieguez declared February 21 officially as “BNI Miami Lakes Day,” further solidifying the chapter’s influential role in our community.
